Import, validate, and segment leads inside your campaigns. Track lead statuses, validation results, and engagement.


Leads Tab — Managing Your Prospects

The Leads tab shows all prospects in the campaign and their current status.

Lead Statuses

Each lead progresses through statuses as the campaign runs:

  • Pending — imported but not yet contacted. Waiting for their turn in the sending queue.
  • Contacted — at least one email has been sent to this lead. They are progressing through the sequence steps.
  • Replied — the lead replied to one of the emails. Detected automatically via IMAP. The reply appears in Unibox. Once a lead replies, no further sequence steps are sent.
  • Bounced — the email could not be delivered (invalid address, full mailbox, etc.). No further steps are sent.
  • Invalid — the email address was determined to be invalid before sending.
  • Unsubscribed — the lead clicked the unsubscribe link. No further emails are sent.
  • Completed — the lead has been sent all sequence steps without replying. The campaign's job is done for this lead.

Importing Leads

From Dashboard (Database): On the Dashboard page, after filtering companies, click "Add to Campaign" in the toolbar. This opens a modal where you select the target campaign. All companies matching your current filters are streamed into the campaign as leads. Progress is shown via real-time percentage updates (SSE streaming). Duplicate leads (same email already in the campaign) are automatically skipped with a breakdown shown at the end.

From Pipeline: In the Leads tab, click "Import from Pipeline." Filter your pipeline leads by city, industry, company size, and revenue. Select the leads you want and add them to the campaign.

From CSV: Upload a CSV file with lead data. The import wizard shows a column mapping step where you match your CSV headers to the required fields:

  • Email address (required)
  • First name / Company name (for personalization variables)
  • Phone, website, city, industry (optional, for variables)

The system validates email formats and skips duplicates.

Email Validation (Automatic)

After leads are imported into a campaign, an automatic email validation process runs in the background. This worker goes through every email address in the lead list and verifies whether it's a real, deliverable address — before any campaign emails are sent.

How it works:

  1. You import leads (from Dashboard, Pipeline, or CSV)
  2. The validation worker starts automatically — no action needed from you
  3. Each email address is checked and classified into one of three categories:
    • Valid (Good) — the email address exists and can receive emails. These leads will be contacted normally.
    • Invalid (Bounce) — the email address doesn't exist, the mailbox is full, or the domain doesn't accept mail. These leads are marked as Invalid and skipped by the campaign — no email is sent.
    • Unverified (Unknown) — the email server didn't give a definitive answer (some servers block verification attempts for privacy). These leads are still contacted, but monitored for bounces.

Why this matters: High bounce rates damage your sender reputation. If too many emails bounce, email providers (Gmail, Outlook) start sending your emails to spam — or block you entirely. By filtering out invalid addresses before sending, this feature drastically reduces bounce rates and protects your email accounts' deliverability.

Timing: Validation takes time, especially for large lead lists (thousands of emails). The process runs in the background — you can continue using the platform while it works. The Leads tab shows the validation status for each lead as it's processed.

Best practice: Wait for validation to complete before activating a campaign, especially with large imported lists. This ensures invalid addresses are caught before any emails go out.

Lead Table

Shows all leads with: company name, email address, current sequence step (e.g., "Step 2 of 3"), status badge, last activity timestamp. Supports:

  • Bulk selection (checkbox per row, select all)
  • Bulk status change
  • Search/filter within leads
  • Pagination
